诗歌背景
 

        本诗首见于科德理的《诗章颂词选集》（1819年，第八版），原名《神配得一切颂赞》，后来收录于曼甘穆利的《基督徒诗歌》（1825年）、《原作圣诗》（1853年），题为《荣归至高真神》。这诗提醒我们：不论过去、现在、将来，天上人间都有颂歌响起。
